Shichimi Togarashi – Just One Cookbook Kitchen Pantry

Shichimi togarashi literary means “seven flavor chili pepper”, and it’s a mixture of red chili flakes, sansho (Sichuan pepper), sesame seeds, nori, shiso (perilla), dried mandarin or orange peel, hemp and poppy seeds. It is usually sprinkled on hot udon noodle soup and many other dishes to add flavor, spiciness and aroma.
